My Friends

There is nothing more important than the people around you who love you and make you feel like you're doing something right in the world. So I'd like you to meet them!

♥ ♥ Amanda, my therapist in Halifax :) She's my vent machine whom I j'adore ♥ ♥

♥♥ Dee - the youngest married woman I've ever met. Also, the funniest person in the world who makes my belly ache whenever we hang out/have study dates ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ Laura, one of two childhood best friends. Through thick and thin, she's been there for me. Her dog Koda is my adopted child and the most fun things we enjoy are driving aimlessly around the northern tip of the Avalon pinnensula.♥ ♥

♥ ♥ Lindsey - my other childhood best friend. She's my SMO. Enough said. ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ Mel - the one who understands me when no one else seems to! I miss this girl! ♥ ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ Melissa - we bitch - alot. But no matter how much, we're always there for one another even if we live far away. ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ Sarah - she's my rock when I'm not on the rock. She's what keeps me sane when I'm in Halifax and she's who I am feircely protective over. She's like the little sister that I never got to have and I don't mean in that annoying kind of way (well, not all the time!) ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Wow, I just realized I've got absolutely gorgeous friends. I love you ladies!!

The Rose of the World

by: William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)

HO dreamed that beauty passes like a dream?
For these red lips, with all their mournful pride,
Mournful that no new wonder may betide,
Troy passed away in one high funeral gleam,
And Usna's children died.

We and the labouring world are passing by:
Amid men's souls, that waver and give place
Like the pale waters in their wintry race,
Under the passing stars, foam of the sky,
Lives on this lonely face.

Bow down, archangels, in your dim abode:
Before you were, or any hearts to beat,
Weary and kind one lingered by His seat;
He made the world to be a grassy road
Before her wandering feet.

Puppies? I think so!

Yeah yeah yeah, I'm predictable. But I couldn't find a single thing today that made me go "ahh". Or yesterday. My mind has been turning into mush since I've been playing Pokemon Pearl... stupid brainwashing. Anyway, I found this on Creative Commons and it's the single most precious portrait of a Bichon Frise that I have ever seen. I can't wait until I have one of my own.

When You Are Old

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
-- W.B. Yeats

My beautiful neice

Today's subject is only 5 months old. She is our family's precious little jewel and is a miricle baby. Her name is Rebecca.
